Performing family research can be a daunting task. Family Matters Genealogy will help you create and preserve your family history for future generations. My expertise is in United States genealogy and Caribbean Island genealogy, specifically African American genealogy. Due to the interconnectedness of us all, I am open to researching everyone.
After over 30 years of doing genealogy for my family and friends, I decided to use my Masters in History and flair for research to elevate it further. I have since honed my skills, delving into the lives of our ancestors and providing valuable insight into histories often untold. Genealogy is my passion – it is an incredible honor to help others connect with their roots.
I have recently co-authored a book! Blueprint for Life: Organizing Your Legacy With Ease is a guided workbook designed to solve that problem. It helps individuals document and preserve essential personal information—including medical history, insurance details, financial accounts, passwords, legal documents, property records, spiritual preferences, family traditions, and personal reflections—all in one accessible place. This workbook does not offer legal or estate planning advice, but instead complements those tools by capturing the emotional, practical, and relational aspects of your life.
Unlike other books in the genre that focus solely on end-of-life planning or memory journaling, Blueprint for Life bridges the gap between structure and soul. It empowers readers to take control of their affairs while celebrating their journey, values, and legacy. With its thoughtful prompts, intuitive layout, and compassionate tone, this workbook offers peace of mind—not just for the individual completing it, but for the loved ones who will one day rely on it.
